Aquaculture

Instructor: D. Wilson

9th-12th Grade
2 Trimester Class  (students must enroll in section A to take B)
In this class we learn about raising aquatic species. We focus mainly on fish produced in our area. We talk mostly about freshwater species such as trout and bass. We learn about water quality factors, how to measure them and how to change them. We raise Razorback Suckers
Xyrauchen texanus. These fish are raised and cared for by students in the class. We PIT tag the fish, weigh and measure them and then at the end of the school year we release them into the Green River.
