Prepared Public Speaking

In FFA (Future Farmers of America), Prepared Public Speaking is a Leadership Development Event (LDE) where students craft and deliver a 6-8 minute speech on an agriculture-related topic. The speech is judged based on its content, structure, and delivery, aiming to develop students' agricultural leadership, communication, and citizenship skills.

The LDE aims to enhance students' public speaking abilities, foster interest in leadership and citizenship, and promote a deeper understanding of agriculture. Students research an agricultural topic, develop a speech, and then deliver it to a panel of judges.  Judges evaluate the speech based on its content, structure, delivery, and the speaker's ability to respond to questions.
